The Celestion CDX1-1425 is a high quality 1-inch neodymium compression driver with a load of 25 watts RMS and a sensitivity of 108 dB. The tweeter also has a 1.4 inch voice coil, a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a frequency range which runs from 2000 to 20,000 Hz. The necessary crossover set the best at 2500 Hz. The cone suspension is made of elastomer, which together with the aluminum aperture provides a low distortion. The CDX1-1425 driver is useful for two and three-way systems and line arrays. It delivers the best performance from 2500 Hz, where the woofer accounts for the frequencies below, possibly with a midrange driver.
